The physicians of Vascular and Interventional Physicians (VIP) are board-certified interventional radiologists, who have specialized in minimally invasive, image-guided surgery. Interventional radiologists were the early pioneers of minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of arterial disease in the legs using balloons and stents. They have also developed innovative image-guided procedures to treat cancer in different parts of the body, Today, many conditions that once required open surgery can be treated nonsurgically by Interventional Radiologists. Interventional Radiology treatments offer less risk, less pain and less recovery time compared to open surgery.
Physicians at VIP are specialists in the interpretation of imaging studies, clinical evaluation of disease and the use of Xrays, ultrasound and CAT scans to diagnose and direct treatment of these diseases. We offer the most sophisticated interventional radiology treatment options available at any top rated academic center. The four physicians in this practice have a combined experience of 50 years in this field. VIP physicians have been trained at top rated academic centers in the United States and have presented talks at major medical meetings in Arizona and nationally.
In addition to providing a comprehensive range of Interventional Radiology services, the practice has special expertise in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and its complications. We also have the most experience and expertise in Arizona in the treatment of lymphatic and vascular malformations.
At VIP, we take interventional radiology to the next level, by creating a comprehensive, clinical based approach. The skill of our interventional radiologists is complemented by an office staff whose goal is to continuously keep the patient and physician in communication, to address all of their questions, concerns, and needs. We contract with most insurance plans.
We have physician offices, in Phoenix adjacent to John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital and John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital where we see patients prior to a procedure and in follow up after the procedure.
